After a couple weeks of vacation and stepping-back time, I’m once again pulling together the daily pharma news. Well, today, anyway – might not be able to do so for the rest of the week due to a pretty intense travel schedule. We’ll see…
Novartis CEO (among others) continues to be attacked by “animal-rights” terrorists. And I use that label without the least hesitation. If you burn houses, desecrate graves, damage property, and make threats, you’re an extremist and a terrorist. They’re going at it on-line, also.
Spotlight on Biotech – 10 Promising Companies. Articled weighted more toward the investment community.
Ranking of sales force effectiveness among pharmas (how much $ earned for $ spent on sales and marketing). Gilead Sciences remains, far and away, the most productive. Their strategy of bringing together synergistic HIV drugs into easier-to-take combos is a real winner. And while we’re looking at rankings lists, here’s the latest on the Top 20 Drugmakers (by annual sales).
Have you seen Pharmatweetical? It’s a consolidation site where you can see tweets from many of the top pharma folks on Twitter. Check it out! And if you missed it late last week, some pharma social media updates, including J&J’s new BlackBag iPhone app.

Periodically, I guess I should explain the man and the mission behind the blog. I’m a pharmaceutical training/eMarketing/vendor selection consultant, working with a variety of pharma companies and vendor/providers to create optimal, win-win business relationships (a form of intelligent “matchmaking“). I also do some paid consulting on training strategy, vendor selection/management, and social media/eMarketing. This blog (Impactiviti) is my pharma blog, which has continued to grow over 3 years; my branding/marketing/social media blog is Stickyfigure. I strongly believe in social networking as a tremendous way of building both personal and professional “opportunity networks.” That last link gives an overview of my involvement on various on-line platforms; I also enjoy networking and presenting at many industry events. Feel free to reach out to me if you think I can be of service!
